Lakewood Lodge is a Minnesota fishing resort located on Sand Lake Deer River MN. Sand Lake is a 4,300 acre home to Walleye, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Jumbo Perch and other species of game fish. Lakewood Lodge is situated on a quiet 80-acre bay on the southern side of Sand Lake in Lakewood Bay.

Sand Lake is part of the Bowstring Chain of Lakes – well-known for providing anglers with great walleye fishing as well as terrific northern and crappie action. The Bowstring Chain of Lakes consists of Little Bowstring Lake, Bowstring Lake, Sand Lake, Bird’s Eye Lake, Portage Lake, Rice Lake and Dora Lake all connected by the Bowstring River and leading into the Bigfork River which all runs north to the Hudson.

Sand Lake is a fabulous Minnesota fishing lake as we have a very aggressive stocking program led by our lake association in conjunction with the DNR. Sand Lake also offers ample required structure for strong natural reproduction. A combination of the two above statements creates unparalleled fishing opportunities.

  • Boat, motor and pontoon rentals are available and we offer a private concrete boat ramp for launching your own boat.
