Resort Reservations & Our Policy

We are pleased you’ve decided to be our guests this year in one of our Minnesota lake cabins. To check our current availability you can call us at 1-800-495-8437, check availability on line or send us a check availability form. (This is not the reservation form. Click here for Reservation Form.) You must be at least 21 years old and have a valid credit card to reserve a cabin.

Because our reservations change rapidly you must phone in your reservation prior to sending in the reservation form. Once we have confirmed your reservation by phone, we ask that you send in our reservation form by email or if you prefer to mail in the reservation form. The form must be filled out completely, signed and mailed to us at Lakewood Lodge, 53026 County Road 35, Deer River, MN 56636. If mailing your reservation form, we will hold your cabin for 6 days from the date of our telephone conversation to allow time for your reservation form and monies to reach us. The names of all persons staying in the cabin must be listed on the reservation form.

Please notify us if you will be arriving after lodge hours. The Lodge/Office is generally open during Prime Season from 8am-8pm Monday thru Friday, 3pm-8pm on Saturday and 10am-6pm on Sundays during prime seasons. Off-Season hours are generally 8am-6pm Monday thru Friday, 3pm-6pm on Saturday and 10am-5pm on Sunday.

Deposits will not be refunded. You are responsible for the entire length of your reservation. No credit will be given for late arrivals or early departures. Please email us with any questions at reservations@lakewoodlodge.com. If you must cancel your reservation we will do our best to re-book it. You are responsible for all remaining balances of your reservation.

Information posted on our website is accurate at the time of posting. Substitutions and or modifications to any/all information may be made at the discretion of Lakewood Lodge. Please Note: Lakewood Lodge reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.

Credit Card Information Policy

You must provide a credit card number even if you are paying via check or money order. Either include your credit card number on the reservation form, or if you prefer, you may submit this information by phone. Lakewood Lodge must have this information in order to confirm a reservation, and the credit card must be in the name of the person making the reservation.

Pet Policy

No animals are allowed except for Hunting Dogs during Minnesota Duck/Grouse Hunting Seasons only. Dogs are NOT allowed in the cabins at any time. ALL dogs must have prior approval. If you would like to bring a dog, it must have proof of all shots, be flea-free, must be leashed or chained up and must be cleaned up after. We require a $200 refundable pet deposit (deposit is refunded following inspection of resort grounds after checkout). You are financially responsible for any damages caused by your pet.

No early arrivals or late departures. No Exceptions!

All Holiday reservations require 4 night minimum stay unless departing on a Saturday.

Extra Persons 

Rates include the number of people as stated for each cabin.

An extra person charge will be applied for each person exceeding that number. 
The maximum number of persons cannot be exceeded.

Extra Person Charge: 
$35/night or $200/week per person. Ages 1-10 $100/week. No Charge for under 1 year if within rated occupancy.
Day Guests - $10 per person per day. Maximum cabin occupancy of cabin cannot be exceeded.

• All cabins are equipped with gas grills and picnic tables. Propane is provided for grills only
• All cabins have screened porches except for cabin 15. 
• All cabins are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed on screened porches with doors and windows closed to the cabin.
• All cabins have full kitchens including microwaves except cabin 8 which has a stove top only.
• All cabins have AC and fireplaces except cabins 7 and 8.
• All cabins have 2 bathrooms except cabins 2,3,7,8 and 15.
  
• All bed linens are provided.
• Two single beds can be converted to king-size beds. Please let us know prior to your arrival how you would like the beds arranged. Basic setup for 5 bedroom cabin is 2 kings/6 singles, 4 bedroom cabins are 2 kings/4 singles, 3 bedroom cabins are 1 king/4 singles (except for cabin #’s 2 and 3 which are 1 queen/4 singles), 2 bedroom cabins are 1 king/2 singles (except cabins 7 and 8 which are 2 doubles).  Standard setup only for the months of June, July and August. Beds can not be converted during the prime season.
• Available free of charge from the Lodge: blenders, crock pots, mixers, griddles, etc.
• Please request linens for futons when making reservation. Extra linens are $25.00 per set when rated occupancy of cabin is not exceeded. When rated occupancy is exceeded and extra person charge is applied futon linens are free. Futons convert to a double bed size.
• Towels are not provided, but are available for rent.
• All cabins are provided with toilet paper and we ask that your use only the toilet paper we supply.
• Please bring your own soaps for bathrooms and kitchens as they are not provided.
• You may want to bring your own outside lawn chairs for around the campfire and at the beach.  We do have some seating at the beach.
• Highchairs are available at no charge but are reserved on a first-asked, first-served basis. Cribs are available for $20.00.
• State Sales Tax will be applied to all rentals. 
• All Major Credit Cards Are Accepted.

• No Personal Watercraft i.e. Jet Ski’s, Wave Runners  or ATV’S allowed without pre approval and must be kept on a trailer and not used on resort grounds.
